How a Computer System Works?

We know that computer is a machine that consists of various technologies containing Software and Hardware. Computer hardware components connect to microprocessors, specifically, the computer's central processing unit (CPU), the electronic circuit that control the process of computer. The input and output hardware interaction is controlled by software called Basic Input Output System software (BIOS). The arithmetic and logic unit (ALU), the control unit, the memory, and the input and output devices (termed I/O). These parts are interconnected by buses, often made of group of wires. Therefore, computer architecture is a subsystem that transfers data between computer components or between computers.

Basically, Physical components of the computer called Hardware such as Input, Output and computer buses. An input part consists of pointing device called Mouse, optical mouse, trackball etc and keyboard which consists of buttons and keys, joystick for controlling video games and the last is image scanner which scans the text or picture and convert it into digital image. An output part consists of monitor and printer. For more information regarding computer, browse through our website http://online-widget.blogspot.com/

  • The control unit manages the computer's various parts like reading and decoding the program instructions and transforming them into a series of control signals.

  • The Arithmetic logic unit defines two classes of operations such as arithmetic and logic.

  • Computer data storage, is also called storage or memory, refers to computer parts devices, and recording media.

Hence, multitasking is a method of defining multiple tasks and sharing common processing resources such as a CPU. But in multiprocessing the use of two or more central processing units (CPUs) within a single computer system. So, You can Browse through our website for more information on related product. Computer Architecture

Computer architecture defined computer engineering that consists of conceptual design and operational function of a computer system. It is functional description and design implementations for the various parts of a computer. Therefore, central processing unit (CPU) performs internally and accesses addresses in memory. So, to create computers that meet all the functional, performance and cost goals requirements, there is a interconnecting hardware components. Computer Architecture is equal to Instruction Set Architecture plus Machine Organization. Computer architecture consists of various categories :-

  • Instruction set architecture( ISA), is the computing system that is assembly language program, including all the instruction set, memory address modes, processor registers and data formats.

  • Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA) architectures.

  • Micro architecture is a lower level defined the description of the system.

  • System Design which includes all hardware components.

As we know that computer system connected with various buses, switches, memory controllers and direct memory access etc..They Implements various Logic Implementation ,Circuit Implementation, Physical Implementation. The architecture of software defines the program or computing system which combine software components. Hence, Memory Hierarchy Design consists of Block Placement, Block Identification and Block Replacement which defines the interaction with Main Memory.
